BetterQuote is a software tool that helps Australian tradespeople create professional quotes. You describe a job by text, photo, or voice, and BetterQuote produces a branded quote — a shareable quote link as the main deliverable, with a PDF alongside it. Quotes can also be delivered via WhatsApp and other channels where supported. BetterQuote is not accounting software, financial advice, or legal advice.
You must provide accurate business information when creating an account. We sign you in using a one-time code sent to your email, rather than a password. You are responsible for all activity on your account and for keeping access to your email secure, and you must not share access outside your business. We may suspend or terminate accounts used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.
BetterQuote is $39 AUD per month after a 30-day free trial (no credit card required for the trial). This is the total amount you pay each month. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe and renew automatically each month until you cancel. You may cancel at any time — access continues until the end of the current billing period. Payments are non-refundable except where required by the Australian Consumer Law. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
You are responsible for making sure all pricing, quantities and scope are correct, that your quotes comply with applicable licensing requirements, and that you hold the appropriate trade licences and insurance for your work.
To create quotes, you may enter information about your own customers — their name, contact details and site address, plus job descriptions, photos and voice recordings ("client data"). We process client data on your behalf, only to provide the service to you.
You warrant that you have the right to provide your customers' information to us and to have it processed to generate quotes, and that you will meet your own privacy and consumer-law obligations to your customers (including any notice or consent they require). You are responsible for the accuracy of client data and for how you use the quotes you create.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify JGW Capital Pty Ltd against claims, losses and costs arising from your client data, the quotes you create, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms — except to the extent the loss is caused by us.
You must not use BetterQuote to generate fraudulent or misleading quotes, conduct illegal activity, send spam or abusive content, attempt to reverse engineer the software, or compromise system security. We may suspend or terminate accounts for any violation.
BetterQuote relies on third-party providers including Stripe (billing), Anthropic (AI quote generation), Groq (voice transcription), Resend (email), Google (sending from your Gmail where connected), and Twilio/Meta and Telegram (messaging). Your use of these platforms is subject to their own terms. BetterQuote is not responsible for outages, restrictions, or policy changes affecting third-party services.
Where you choose to deliver quotes or interact with BetterQuote via WhatsApp or Telegram, you acknowledge these are third-party platforms, that message delivery may be affected by outages or rate limits, and that messages you send to BetterQuote are processed by automated systems to generate quotes.
All software, technology, design and branding is owned by JGW Capital Pty Ltd. While you are subscribed, you receive a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the platform. The business information, content and client data you provide remain yours; you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, store, process and display that content as needed to provide the service — for example, to generate, store and deliver your quotes.
Our collection and use of information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. BetterQuote handles personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
BetterQuote uses AI to generate quote content from your descriptions, photos and voice notes. See our AI Disclaimer for full details. AI-generated content may contain errors and must always be reviewed before sending to clients.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing in these terms excludes those rights. To the extent the law allows us to limit our liability for the consumer guarantees, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied. Otherwise, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for errors in AI-generated quotes, business losses arising from use of the software, service interruptions, or loss of data, and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid in that period.
You can cancel at any time by contacting support@betterquote.au. After your account is closed, we keep your data for up to 12 months before deletion; quote and financial records may be kept for up to 7 years to meet tax and record-keeping obligations. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
Material changes will be notified with at least 14 days' notice via email or the BetterQuote dashboard. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
