Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

These Terms govern your use of BetterQuote, operated by Better Quote Pty Ltd (ACN to be updated). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. About BetterQuote

BetterQuote is a software tool designed to assist tradespeople in generating professional quote documents via WhatsApp and Telegram. It is not accounting software, financial advice, or legal advice.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate business information when creating an account. You are responsible for all activity on your account and must not share access outside your business. We may suspend or terminate accounts used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.

3. Subscription and billing

BetterQuote is $39 AUD per month after a 30-day free trial (no credit card required for trial). Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. You may cancel at any time — access continues until the end of the billing period. Subscription payments are non-refundable except where required by Australian Consumer Law. Pricing may change with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

4. Responsibility for quotes

Important: You are solely responsible for reviewing all quotes before sending them to your customers. BetterQuote does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content. A quote you send to a client is your offer — not BetterQuote's.

You are responsible for ensuring all pricing, quantities and scope are correct, that your quotes comply with applicable licensing requirements, and that you hold appropriate trade licences and insurance for your work.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use BetterQuote to generate fraudulent or misleading quotes, conduct illegal activity, send spam or abusive content, attempt to reverse engineer the software, or compromise system security. We may suspend or terminate accounts for any violation.

6. Third-party services

BetterQuote integrates with Telegram, WhatsApp, Stripe, and AI providers including Anthropic. Your use of these platforms is subject to their own terms. BetterQuote is not responsible for outages, restrictions, or policy changes affecting third-party services.

7. Messaging platforms

By using BetterQuote via Telegram or WhatsApp you acknowledge these are third-party platforms not controlled by BetterQuote, message delivery may be affected by platform outages, and messages sent to the BetterQuote bot are processed by automated systems to generate quotes.

8. Intellectual property

All software, technology, design and branding is owned by Better Quote Pty Ltd. You receive a limited licence to use the platform while subscribed. Quotes and business information you create remain yours.

9. Privacy

Our collection and use of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. BetterQuote complies with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

10. AI-generated content

BetterQuote uses AI to generate quote content from your descriptions and photos. See our AI Disclaimer for full details. AI-generated content may contain errors and must always be reviewed before sending to clients.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, BetterQuote is not liable for errors in AI-generated quotes, business losses arising from use of the software, service interruptions, or loss of data. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to subscription fees paid in that period. Nothing in these terms excludes rights under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

12. Termination

Cancel at any time by contacting jack@betterquote.au. Data is retained for up to 12 months after account closure before deletion.

13. Changes to these terms

Material changes will be notified with at least 14 days notice via the BetterQuote bot or email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
